What you will do

• Own forming operations within the work center and deliver formed products while improving roll forming and press brake processes.
• Bring a press brake work center online and lead development to form sheets up to 20 feet for rocket primary structures.
• Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for multiple high-fidelity manufacturing processes.
• Standardize manufacturing processes and resolve live issues on the shop floor.
• Provide upstream feedback while developing the next generation of manufacturing technology.
• Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams through development, prototype, and flight builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of progressive, related experience, including internship experience.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes and independently identifying and leading development projects to meet processing requirements.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in process improvement, forming, metallic processing, and mechanics of materials.
• Deep knowledge of common metallic manufacturing processes, tools, inspection methods, and GD&T.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with engineering and manufacturing groups, understanding process constraints, and providing design inputs for manufacturability.
• Strong 3D and 2D design and drafting skills according to ASME Y14.5M; NX is preferred.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with roll forming and press brake forming of aluminum alloys.
• Successful new product introduction of an aerospace hardware system into manufacturing, testing, and production.
• Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
