Rigging Artist (VFX)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Must be living in and eligible to work in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Salary: CAD 85,000–130,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, create, and maintain effective character and creature rigs in Maya.
• Support the development of rigging workflows and pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of the rigging toolset.
• Incorporate artistic and technical feedback to improve rig behaviour.
• Collaborate with production, animators, lighters, and modellers to deliver high-quality shots on time.
• Manage priorities, time, expectations, and feedback constructively and efficiently.

Requirements

• Must be living in and eligible to work in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
• Good knowledge of anatomy.
• Working knowledge of scripting and interface creation.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to manage internal expectations and interpret and address feedback constructively and efficiently.
• A solutions-driven approach, passion for innovation, and interest in new challenges.
