Assistant Project Manager (Demolition & Land Management)

Location: Georgia, United States of America; work from home in Atlanta with 50% travel required to project sites, including remote locations. Scheduled presence is required for most projects, with regular site visits and outdoor work on uneven terrain in varying weather while wearing required PPE.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support planning, execution, and reporting for demolition and land management projects across multiple sites, including scopes, budgets, schedules, risks, and quality.
• Support bid processes, bid leveling, scope comparisons, subcontractor and vendor contracting, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with engineers, environmental consultants, regulatory agencies, internal teams, clients, and contractors on site assessments, permitting, and project requirements.
• Monitor safety protocols, environmental regulations, site progress, demolition debris disposal, recycling, haul-off, grading, erosion and sediment control, SWPPP compliance, and property maintenance.
• Track project financials, pay applications, schedules of values, quantities, change orders, invoices, budgets, and cost reports.
• Identify risks, issues, and delays; prepare client-ready status reports and schedule updates; and escalate issues with proposed mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or real estate project management.
• Working knowledge of demolition, grading and earthwork, SWPPP, erosion and sediment control, horizontal construction methods and materials, demolition permitting, utility disconnects, and construction and demolition disposal.
• Ability to track timelines and project dependencies, identify conflicts early, support multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, communication, social, motivational, and team-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to coordinate client needs with subcontracting partners and support compliance with scope, schedule, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites, including remote locations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to walk uneven terrain and work outdoors in varying weather while wearing required PPE.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with a general contractor or demolition subcontractor, including commercial and residential demolition and site or horizontal construction.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with project management software.
