Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud Platform)

Location: Hybrid in Hamburg, Germany. Candidates must be based in Hamburg or currently reside in Germany and be willing to relocate to Hamburg.

Salary: €75,000–€90,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve global AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Own core Kubernetes platform components, including ingress, VPC networking, scaling strategies, and secrets management.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems with Datadog, OpenSearch, and Fluentd.
• Advise internal application teams on safely deploying microservices through GitLab CI.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 platform uptime.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated Platform or SRE experience in cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud architecture managed through Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Hands-on operational experience with production Docker and Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Ability to read and write Go at a basic to intermediate level for scripting, debugging, or platform tooling.
• Based in Hamburg, Germany, or currently residing in Germany with willingness to relocate to Hamburg.
