Internship Programme for the World Food Forum (WFF)

Location: Rome, Italy; onsite internship at hirify.global headquarters. Duration: 3 to 11 months.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations leads international efforts to defeat hunger, achieve food security, and support inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems.

What you will do

• Perform the functions specified in the Terms of Reference prepared by the hiring office.
• Support activities of the Office of Youth and Women and the World Food Forum.
• Contribute to initiatives involving youth and women’s empowerment, leadership, advocacy, partnerships, and agrifood systems.
• Support work related to policy engagement, innovation, local action, and the hirify.global committees and action plans.
• Report to an assigned supervisor and work in an international multicultural environment.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme at the time of application, or be a recent graduate.
• Have higher educational qualifications from an institution accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
• Specialize in a field relevant to the mission and work of hirify.global.
• Have working knowledge of at least one hirify.global language: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish.
• Be a national of an hirify.global Member.
• Be between 21 and 30 years old.
• Be able to adapt to an international multicultural environment and have good communication skills.
• Demonstrate the hirify.global Core Competencies: Results Focus, Teamwork, Communication, Building Effective Relationships, and Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement.
• Adhere to hirify.global values of Commitment to hirify.global, Respect for All, and Integrity and Transparency.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of a second hirify.global language.
• Relevant working experience in thematic and academic support to policy dialogues, gender equality and young women’s empowerment, innovation, partnership or fundraising, marketing and communications, cultural activities, AI, data and knowledge management, event management, or another relevant field.
