E2E Solution Architect (Telecom)

Location: Reading or Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month. The role requires the ability and willingness to undergo and obtain Secure Vetting (SC) clearance.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical solution design for major network and technology initiatives, aligning solutions with business priorities and technology strategy.
• Guide bids, consultancy engagements, feasibility assessments, and other pre-project activities across Network and IT.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, operationally ready, commercially sound, and future-focused architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, technical specialists, Network, IT, and business teams to secure approval through governance forums including the Cross Functional Architecture Board.
• Produce and maintain Technology Requirement Specifications and High-Level Service Designs, while supporting domain teams with detailed designs.
• Identify technical risks, resolve issues, ensure security, regulatory, operational, and architectural compliance, and improve design and delivery practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in end-to-end solution architecture within telecoms or other large-scale technology environments.
• Strong understanding of network and IT architecture principles, frameworks, governance, and systems integration.
• Experience influencing and engaging a wide range of stakeholders while balancing business requirements with optimized technical solutions.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-domain technical projects and delivering successful outcomes.
• Experience producing, reviewing, and assuring solution artefacts such as Technology Requirement Specifications and High-Level Service Designs.
• Deep expertise across telecoms networks and IT systems, with detailed knowledge of at least two domains such as RAN, Core, BSS, or OSS.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, sound judgment, collaboration, resilience, adaptability, self-awareness, and willingness to support and develop others.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant, customer-focused solutions.

• Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
