Senior Configuration Manager

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite role.

Salary: $105,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

hirify.global provides support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Ground Base Air Defense Sensor Division on communications, command and control, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, radar, and integrated air and missile defense programs.

What you will do

• Oversee configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and configuration management for program artifacts.
• Implement and manage configuration management plans to maintain compliant and reliable design baselines.
• Convene and support Configuration Control Boards, document approved changes, and track change requests.
• Support engineering assessments, Physical Configuration Audits, Functional Configuration Audits, design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and other major reviews.
• Manage data deliverables, discrepancies, problem reports, findings, action items, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with program management, systems engineers, and quality managers in integrated product teams while supporting software, hardware, and IT system configuration activities.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Configuration management experience in a DoD environment.
• Experience with hardware and software configuration audits, IT system configuration auditing, configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and configuration baselines.
• Experience managing CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, media labeling, CM repositories, and baseline administration across multiple environments.
• Experience producing release notes, CM reports, management briefings, and documentation and data deliverables.
• Understanding of Configuration Control Boards, change control documentation, software release management, version control, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with Physical and Functional Configuration Audit support, software licensing, packaging, delivery, and Microsoft Access and SharePoint administration or support.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, documentation, analytical, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively in integrated product teams and manage multiple deadlines.
