Student Engineering Intern (Water/Wastewater)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; full-time during the summer of 2027

Compensation: $22–$27 per hour, depending on education and experience

What you will do

• Support planning, design, and construction activities for water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Contribute to projects for public agencies and municipalities.
• Apply civil or environmental engineering knowledge to infrastructure assignments.
• Work with environmental science staff on interdisciplinary projects.
• Use AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office tools to support project delivery.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering.
• Interest in water and wastewater engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively and work well on a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD or similar software and/or GIS, plus strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.
