Junior Compliance & AML Officer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Monitor websites, customer communications, live chats, marketing materials, and operational processes to identify and address potential compliance issues.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and provide practical compliance guidance to internal departments.
• Support client onboarding through KYC checks, AML screening, due diligence, and risk assessments.
• Review and investigate potentially suspicious activity alerts and escalate appropriate cases to the AML Compliance Officer.
• Assist with compliance policies and procedures, including the AML Manual, regulatory enquiries, internal audits, and ad hoc compliance reviews.
• Support staff training and provide day-to-day guidance on AML/CFT risks, obligations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Academic background in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, proactive approach, and a high level of responsibility.
• Fluency in both Greek and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• CySEC certification.
• Willingness to learn and develop toward AML and/or Advanced CySEC certification; support with obtaining the certification is available.
