Senior Android Developer (Remote)

hirify.global is a fintech product company building financial products for business owners across Europe, including company accounts, banking transactions, cards, and AI-enabled accounting.

What you will do

• Design and build Android features for multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, physical and virtual card issuance and management, and AI-powered accounting automation.
• Architect and implement reliable, intuitive solutions and polished responsive interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
• Own code quality, performance, stability, automated testing, and thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product on end-to-end solutions.
• Drive technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Android development experience and a proven track record of shipping meaningful products.
• Strong Kotlin knowledge; Java knowledge is a plus.
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with presentation patterns including MVI, MVVM, and MVP, with the ability to select the appropriate approach.
• Hands-on experience with reactive and asynchronous programming using RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
• Experience with dependency injection using Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin; networking with Retrofit; and navigation using Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Firebase including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics, and feature-module architecture in production.
• Confidence with Git/GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD.
• Clear, concise English communication with technical and non-technical audiences, plus a product-focused and pragmatic mindset.

Nice to have

• Fintech or financial product experience.
• Mobile security knowledge.
• Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance, including reducing overdraw, improving Jetpack Compose recomposition efficiency, and achieving smooth 60/120fps rendering.
• Experience with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.
• Published Google Play applications and an active GitHub profile with shareable code.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, AI-powered IDEs, agent environments, prompts, skills, behavioral rules, agent mode, rules-file configuration, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations, context-window management, and evaluating AI-generated output with tests, linters, and critical review.
• Awareness of AI security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs.
