Senior Android Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of one day per week in the London office. Work from a different location is available for up to 6 weeks per year.

Salary: £80,000–£90,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Build and ship high-quality features and improvements for the native Android app.
• Develop functionality for content discovery, player control, playback, content creation, settings, and purchases.
• Lead complex features from technical design through delivery across product, design, Android, and iOS.
• Shape architecture, engineering standards, tooling, and technical direction.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, automated testing, iterative improvements, and knowledge sharing.
• Use AI-augmented tooling responsibly to improve development efficiency.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building Android applications with native Kotlin.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVI or MVVM.
• Experience consuming third-party APIs and building user interfaces.
• Experience with UI, unit, snapshot, and automated testing.
• Ability to own complex projects, make technical decisions autonomously, and communicate across disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on shared quality.

Nice to have

• Experience using or contributing to a design system.
• Experience with A/B testing.
• Experience with e-commerce and payments.
