Senior PMO Manager (Product & Tech)

Location: Karlsruhe, Germany; hybrid working model with flexible working hours.

What you will do

• Manage medium-sized programs and complex projects across their full lifecycle, primarily at the interface between Product Management and Software Development.
• Structure initiatives by status, effort, risks, dependencies, business value, and resource needs, and support sponsors and idea owners with strategic plans.
• Help establish project management methodologies, prioritization logic, and change management processes.
• Plan resources and capacity across departments, resolve resource conflicts, and maintain transparency on delivery time, budget, and quality.
• Align stakeholders across Software Development, IT, BI, Commercial Management, Sales, Finance, Networks, and Customer Care, while reporting risks and progress to executive management.
• Drive AI automation of PMO workflows with Claude and n8n, and mentor Project Managers in advanced planning and risk management.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least five years of demonstrated project management experience in a technical environment, including IT project management or digital delivery and several complex initiatives in parallel.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and agile frameworks such as PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum, or SAFe, combined with a strong IT affinity.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to structure complex and ambiguous topics into actionable next steps, resolve conflicts, work pragmatically and independently, and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional working proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.

• First to intermediate experience using Claude and n8n for workflow automation.
