Senior Automation Quality Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Review AI-generated BDD test scenarios for coverage, correctness, and missing edge cases before implementation.
• Review AI-generated automation code for quality and correctness before merging, serving as the final human checkpoint.
• Write and refine prompts, instructions, and context files that shape AI-agent behavior.
• Build and maintain Python automation frameworks, including page objects, clients, step definitions, fixtures, and test data.
• Design and maintain UI, API, and database test coverage; triage flaky or broken tests and self-healing suggestions.
• Onboard applications into the automation framework, track coverage and regression health, and report quality metrics to the delivery team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience and strong working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Playwright for UI automation and PyTest or a similar framework for API test automation.
• Familiarity with BDD/Gherkin, including the ability to read, critique, and extend feature files.
• Working SQL skills and the ability to validate data directly against a database.
• Solid Git/GitHub experience, including pull-request-based review workflows.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar in a real development or test-automation workflow.
• Practical understanding of agentic AI systems, including multiple role-based agents, orchestration, and handoffs.
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering and core LLM concepts including context windows, hallucination, retrieval-augmented generation, and the need for human review.

Nice to have

• Exposure to agent frameworks or tooling such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Model Context Protocol, or Copilot/Claude agent extensions.
