TL;DR
Project Engineer (Industrial Valves): Managing technical requirements, change requests, documentation, inspections, and customer coordination for industrial valve delivery projects with an accent on technical problem-solving, project execution, and international collaboration. Focus on clarifying complex specifications, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring documentation and project deliveries meet customer requirements.

Location: Hakkila office, Vantaa, Finland; occasional travel within Europe may be required.

Global technology provider delivering automation, flow control, valves, pumps, and related services for pulp, paper, mining, chemicals, refining, energy, and other process industries.

What you will do

  • Clarify technical requirements for industrial valve delivery projects with EPC customers and project managers.
  • Manage technical change requests, document approvals, and final project documentation.
  • Host customer inspections and site visits and provide technical expertise throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate information across project management, factory operations, quality, design, R&D, documentation, and inspection teams.
  • Help ensure project deliveries meet customer specifications.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Process Automation, or another relevant technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a project environment and understanding industrial equipment and processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, machining drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Fluent Finnish and English skills.
  • Independent and proactive working style, ownership, strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and solve complex project challenges.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of document management systems.
  • Experience with PDM and ERP systems.
