Associate Backend Engineer (.NET)

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania

Salary: €2,000–€3,000 gross per month, depending on experience

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using .NET and C#.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and monitoring.
• Write unit and automated tests, review code, and verify changes before release.
• Collaborate with developers, software testers, and cross-functional colleagues.
• Use AI coding assistants and validate generated suggestions through testing and code review.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of backend development experience with the .NET stack.
• Proficiency with relational databases, preferably Azure SQL Server.
• Understanding of web application and REST API fundamentals.
• Experience with Git or another version control system.
• Existing experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, with the ability to explain how suggestions were verified.
• Good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven systems or messaging basics.
• Frontend experience with Angular or React.
