Location: São Paulo, Brazil; based in the São Paulo engineering hub

operates an on-demand logistics platform spanning food delivery, grocery, convenience, and package delivery across more than 40 countries.
What you will do
- Lead and grow an engineering team focused on safety systems, content moderation, and abuse detection.
- Own the architecture and technical direction of a global, multi-product, multi-language Trust & Safety platform.
- Productionize AI-driven moderation and classification models in high-volume, real-time workflows.
- Drive migration from purpose-built safety tools to a unified platform serving the group.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Legal, and Strategy & Operations on roadmap and policy enforcement.
- Mentor engineers and ensure operational excellence, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years of people management experience leading teams of 5 or more engineers.
- Experience with distributed systems, system scaling, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with remote teams across time zones and fluency in English.
- Hands-on leadership, strong product intuition, humility, adaptability, and resilience.
Nice to have
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, fraud prevention, or abuse detection.
- Production experience with AI/ML systems, including model serving, feature stores, or real-time inference.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Go.
- Experience building platforms for multiple products, countries, or regulatory environments.
