Director, Security (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States; position location listed as South Jordan, Utah. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 USD per year

Lightspeed provides cloud-based dealer management software for powersport, marine, RV, trailer, and golf car dealerships across North America.

What you will do

• Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures for the DMS platform, dealer data, and corporate technology environment.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and define mitigation strategies.
• Design and lead the security incident response process, including investigation, containment, remediation, and external coordination.
• Monitor security systems and networks while maintaining security reports and documentation.
• Manage SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance, security audits, secure coding education, and employee security awareness programs.
• Collaborate with departments across the business to integrate security measures into operations and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, systems, best practices, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft XDR, AdLumin, DarkTrace, penetration testing programs, static code analysis remediation, and dynamic application scanning.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification.
• Experience with dealer, franchise, or vertical SaaS data security, including powersports, marine, RV, trailer, or outdoor power equipment platforms.
