Senior Fullstack Developer (Python, Vue.js & GCP)

Location: Remote, Canada

Compensation: CAD $52–55 per hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications with Python, Flask, Vue.js, Nuxt, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Build RESTful APIs, backend services, responsive interfaces, and accessible front-end components.
• Develop event-driven integrations and secure authentication using GCP Pub/Sub, CloudEvents, Keycloak, and JWT.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases on Google Cloud SQL, including schemas, migrations, and queries.
• Build containerized microservices and automated CI/CD pipelines with Docker, GCP, GitHub Actions, and Cloud Build.
• Collaborate with Agile delivery teams, participate in architecture and code reviews, and provide mentorship, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack development.
• Strong Python and Flask experience, with SQLAlchemy and Alembic for database operations and migrations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, Vue 2, Vue 3, Pinia, and Nuxt 3.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON Schema, PostgreSQL, Docker, microservices, and automated testing with pytest and Vitest.
• Practical experience with GCP services including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Build, plus GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills, Agile experience, and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with LaunchDarkly or similar feature flag platforms.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with large-scale government or public-sector digital transformation projects.
• Experience with OpenAPI, API-first development, technical mentorship, and knowledge transfer.
