Computational Chemistry Expert (AI)

Salary: $50–$100 per hour

What you will do

• Design and evaluate chemistry problems and scientific workflows for AI training.
• Analyze reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy data, molecular simulations, and other computational results.
• Optimize experimental protocols and computational chemistry methods.
• Support chemistry-related AI model testing and benchmarking.
• Document scientific findings and provide expert feedback.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, or computational chemistry.
• Hands-on laboratory or computational research experience.
• Experience with computational chemistry, molecular dynamics, reaction mechanisms, synthesis planning, spectroscopy, or electronic structure methods.
• Strong Python or scientific programming skills, with experience using tools such as Gaussian, ORCA, Psi4, GROMACS, LAMMPS, or RDKit.
• Strong quantitative analysis, scientific reasoning, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral, academic, or research scientist experience.
• Peer-reviewed publications or scientific software contributions.
• Experience with AI/ML-assisted chemistry workflows.
• Background in drug discovery, reaction prediction, or retrosynthesis.
