Company

hirify.global develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 platform for industrial environments.

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop prototype engineers and technicians while setting technical and process standards.
  • Drive hands-on troubleshooting, failure analysis, and resolution of complex electrical issues across prototype and deployed robotic systems.
  • Own electrical bring-up for new builds, including power distribution, motor drives, actuator electronics, sensors, communications buses, and electromechanical integrations.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software engineers on prototype design, assembly, and design-for-test.
  • Define test procedures, troubleshooting guides, repair runbooks, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and reusable test jigs.
  • Plan lab priorities, resources, tooling, equipment, and spares while improving downtime, repair efficiency, first-pass yield, and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on electrical engineering experience in rapid prototyping, custom hardware debugging, and complex electrical systems in robotics or similar fields.
  • Deep knowledge of low-voltage power, mixed-signal circuits, motor drives, connectors, sensors, and compact electromechanical systems.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other bench instrumentation.
  • Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts, perform board-level rework and repair, and design or specify harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers or technicians while balancing people management with hands-on work.
  • Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-changing startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for manufacturability and reliability in human-sized or mobile robotics.
  • Familiarity with automated test and diagnostic tools used in hardware labs.
  • Experience building or scaling prototyping or field engineering teams and establishing lab processes.
  • Mechanical assembly and integration experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Comprehensive health coverage for US-based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 23 days of accrued PTO, separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match.
  • Stock options, catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in the office.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
