Product Engineer (Radar)

Location: Full-time onsite in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, with field testing at customer or test locations

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Troubleshoot radar hardware and integrated systems using circuit analysis, schematics, measurements, logs, and radar data.
• Lead root cause investigations for production failures, returned units, and field issues, and document corrective actions.
• Evaluate alternate components and design circuit and PCB changes to improve reliability, manufacturability, and performance.
• Operate radar systems, analyze detection and tracking behavior, and conduct lab and field tests under representative conditions.
• Resolve issues affecting manufacturing yield, test repeatability, acceptance criteria, and product support documentation.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, RF, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to validate corrective changes.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
• Availability for full-time onsite work in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and field testing at customer or test locations.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in electronic product design, redesign, troubleshooting, or verification.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience diagnosing electronic hardware at circuit, board, and system levels, including schematic and datasheet analysis and bench measurements.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, embedded-system interfaces, root cause analysis, controlled experiments, and test planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with sustaining or product engineering for electronic products already in production.
• Radar systems, radar data, RF electronics, or integrated sensing systems experience.
• Experience with component obsolescence, PCB design tools, schematic capture, engineering change orders, configuration control, or manufacturing test development.
• Python or other scripting experience for test-data analysis, measurement automation, and reproducing intermittent failures.
