Radar Systems Development Engineer (Radar Signal Processing): Designing and developing advanced radar signal-processing algorithms and capabilities for target detection, tracking, and classification with an accent on real-time optimization, radar modes, and RF systems engineering. Focus on implementing algorithms in software and hardware, building radar simulations and models, leading field tests, and mentoring junior engineers.
Location: Full-time onsite at the office in El Segundo, California, United States
Salary: $140,000–$280,000 base salary per year, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Design and develop radar signal-processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, and classification.
- Lead the development of new radar capabilities and radar modes with minimal guidance.
- Optimize and implement algorithms for real-time performance in software and hardware, including C++, Python, MATLAB, FPGAs, and DSPs.
- Develop system simulations and models for radar systems, subsystems, and signal-processing chains.
- Analyze radar data, evaluate system performance, and identify improvements.
- Plan and lead field tests, document technical findings, present progress to leadership, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Deep understanding of radar systems, radar modes, radar principles, signal-processing techniques, and algorithms.
- Systems Engineering experience with RF systems and expertise in digital signal processing, algorithm development, and data analysis.
- Strong familiarity with Python or MATLAB and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in El Segundo, California.
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in STEM or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with radar waveform design, matched filtering, Doppler processing, clutter rejection, and both sides of the Systems Engineering V.
- Experience with C++.
