Production Test Engineer (RF/Radar)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $155,000–$230,000 per year in base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy automated test solutions for RF and radar-related electronic systems.
• Design and maintain Python automation for hardware control, test sequencing, and data collection.
• Automate Ubuntu/Linux workstation provisioning and configuration with Ansible.
• Configure and troubleshoot networked test environments, including static IPs, VLANs, and interface diagnostics.
• Analyze and visualize test data to support engineering validation and program deliverables.
• Document test procedures, automation workflows, and troubleshooting processes while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in test automation, hardware validation, or related engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python for automated hardware testing, including virtual environments.
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux command-line tools, log analysis, NIC identification, and system configuration.
• Experience with Ansible or similar tools for OS installation and workstation setup automation.
• Ability to independently debug integration issues across hardware, software, and network systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF systems, radar systems, or high-frequency electronics.
• Familiarity with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Experience supporting defense or aerospace programs.
• Experience with NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly, or tkinter for data analysis and visualization.
