Principal Mobile Engineer (POS Terminal)

What you will do

• Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
• Integrate payment technologies, EMV standards, hardware peripherals, payment processors, and gateways.
• Lead development of POS-related applications, including Android Native and mobile applications for repair scheduling and maintenance.
• Optimize security, performance, stability, and reliability for payment processing and EMV protocols.
• Maintain architectural documentation, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers, support hiring, and collaborate with product and engineering teams on technical direction.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in system design, architecture, and development in the POS terminal domain.
• Strong Android Native development experience with Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
• Experience integrating POS hardware such as card readers, PIN pads, printers, and other peripherals.
• Deep understanding of payment systems architecture and payment processor or gateway integrations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, mentoring, and software quality assurance skills.

Nice to have

• Cross-platform mobile development experience with Flutter.
• Familiarity with C and JavaScript for POS application platforms.
