Principal Mobile Engineer (POS Terminal)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and development of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms, with focus on security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Make architectural decisions involving payment technologies, EMV standards, payment processors, gateways, and POS hardware.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and POS-related mobile applications.
• Optimize payment processing, system performance, and security while monitoring stability and troubleshooting production issues.
• Define engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and improve development efficiency across POS and related teams.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and participate in hiring.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in system design, architecture, and development in the POS terminal domain.
• Strong Android Native development experience with Java or Kotlin and expertise in Android-based POS solutions.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development, particularly Flutter; familiarity with C and JavaScript is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip transactions, encryption, and key management.
• Experience integrating POS hardware such as card readers, PIN pads, printers, and other peripherals.
• Knowledge of payment systems architecture, software quality assurance, complex system interactions, communication, and technical leadership.
