Senior Software Engineer (Java, Data Direction)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and optimize solutions using Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, Cloud SQL, and related GCP services.
• Improve data quality, reliability, performance, and analytics efficiency across the enterprise data platform.
• Translate requirements from architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders into production-ready solutions.
• Support schema versioning, database migrations, CI/CD automation, proof-of-concept initiatives, and platform optimization.
• Contribute to modern data architectures such as data mesh and lakehouse.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on data engineering.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases, data integrations, ETL or ELT pipelines, and connectivity patterns.
• Practical knowledge of Liquibase or Flyway and experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI.
• Python scripting skills and knowledge of modern data architectures are advantageous.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level, with effective communication in international teams.
