Senior Data Engineer (Cloud, Data Integration & Migration)

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom; candidates must have pre-existing UK right to work and be eligible for UK security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Build data integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and third-party systems.
• Design and deliver data migration solutions covering extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
• Develop and optimise data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse solutions.
• Perform data profiling, root cause analysis, and data quality assessments.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, document technical solutions, and resolve complex data issues.

Requirements

• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is required.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK is required; documentary evidence will be requested.
• Demonstrable data engineering experience, including complex data migration and data integration projects.
• Strong experience with large and complex datasets, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena.
• Strong knowledge of ETL and ELT design, data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouses, data modelling, profiling, quality management, validation, and reconciliation.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon QuickSight.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL.
