Senior Technical Assurance Manager (Technology Risk)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week at hirify.global Group HQ in Osterley. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide assurance across the technical policy and control environment.
• Assess whether policies, controls, and governance arrangements are understood, embedded, and operating effectively.
• Partner with policy owners, control owners, senior leaders, and subject matter experts to strengthen control ownership and sustainable improvement.
• Shape and evolve assurance frameworks, methodologies, and standards within the newly established Enterprise Assurance capability.
• Improve assurance effectiveness through data, insight, reporting, and automation.
• Translate findings into practical recommendations and contribute to consolidated reporting on control health, emerging risks, and improvement priorities.

Requirements

• Ability to assess the design and effectiveness of policies, controls, and governance frameworks, identifying weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Expertise in translating assurance findings into clear, practical, and actionable insight for stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Strong understanding of technical governance frameworks, technical policy management, control environments, and organisational accountability.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, influencing, and constructive challenge skills.
• Strong problem-solving capability, including root-cause analysis, option evaluation, and driving sustainable improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and build a joined-up view of policy adherence, control effectiveness, and assurance activity.
• Comfort operating within a newly established function while shaping methodologies, processes, and ways of working.
• Background in technical assurance, technology risk, compliance, audit, or control-related disciplines.
• Demonstrated success assessing technical policy adherence, control effectiveness, and implementation of technical controls.
