Snr. Information Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote role associated with Cheltenham, England, United Kingdom; UK SC Clearance is required for supported platforms.

What you will do

• Respond to security alerts and escalations across information security monitoring systems.
• Support junior SOC staff, provide guidance, and own security escalations.
• Build security response mechanisms, including automated triage and security-control validation.
• Perform threat hunting, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and network activity monitoring.
• Create information security policies, procedures, playbooks, alerts, and dashboards.
• Conduct security reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and vulnerability triage across products and services.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance for supported platforms.
• Deep knowledge of information security concepts, cloud infrastructure, application security, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Experience with SIEM tools, log observability, Microsoft Sentinel and/or Elasticsearch, and Azure or AWS.
• Experience building information security tools and scripts, analyzing and mitigating risk, and using AI tools such as Claude Code for data analysis and application development.
• Knowledge of SaaS security configuration, APIs, logging, access control, permissions, OWASP Top 10, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
• Experience mentoring junior staff, navigating the Linux command line, and working with Linux, Windows, Mac, and ChromeOS.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as Security+, GSEC, CompTIA CySA+, or Cisco Cyber Ops.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
