Security Engineer (Corporate Information Security)

Location: Remote, anywhere in the United States; up to 5% travel may be required. The position participates in a rotating on-call schedule outside standard business hours.

What you will do

• Investigate and prioritize security alerts, distinguish signal from noise, and drive incidents to resolution or escalation.
• Conduct threat hunting and develop, tune, and maintain high-fidelity detections.
• Translate threat intelligence into detections, hunting activities, and response actions.
• Build security tooling and workflow automation with LLMs and AI coding agents, reviewing, testing, and safely deploying generated code.
• Contribute to detection-as-code practices and runbooks while improving coverage, quality, and repeatability.
• Collaborate with technical teams and internal customers, document work, and support incident response through rotating on-call coverage.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree.
• Experience triaging events with technical accuracy, root cause analysis, and timely escalation.
• Understanding of attack mechanics, common attack vectors, TCP/IP, core networking, authentication, and authorization.
• Hands-on experience building automation or tooling with LLMs or AI agents in a thoughtful and safe manner.
• Scripting experience, such as Python, applied to security operations or business workflow automation.
• Must be based in the United States and able to meet the role's remote and on-call requirements.

Nice to have

• Incident handling certifications such as GCIH or GCFA.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, DLP, and other security technologies.
• Experience with OpenCode, Claude Code, Amazon Q, or other agentic assistants and coding agents.
