AI Orchestration Engineer

Location: Hybrid work model with an office in Austin, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Build the core orchestration layer powering production AI agents.
• Improve agent execution reliability, latency, and cost at scale.
• Build and maintain a platform SDK used by AI engineering teams.
• Implement multi-tenant isolation, quota management, security boundaries, and platform APIs.
• Design API and model gateways for routing, rate limiting, and cost attribution.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, shared infrastructure, on-call coverage, and production incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable language.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing APIs and service boundaries, with solid knowledge of authentication, authorization, and secrets management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with open-source agentic AI libraries or durable-execution orchestrators.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating agentic AI systems.
• Experience in healthcare, biotech, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
