Mech Engineer (Packaging Machinery)

Salary: $75,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop conveyor and packaging equipment components and systems.
• Create and maintain CAD models, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturability, functionality, cost, and product implementation.
• Support prototype builds, product testing, system validation, installation, and assembly issue resolution.
• Select materials, components, and mechanical systems using engineering principles and performance requirements.
• Improve existing products and ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drive mechanisms, pneumatics, and materials.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must work onsite in Forest, Virginia, United States and meet United States employment eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in conveyor or packaging machinery manufacturing.
• Experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical calculations.
