ATR – Internship 2027 - Development of a Tool and Methodologies to Design Next-Generation Aircraft (Aerospace)

Location: Toulouse Area, with the internship site in Blagnac, France

ATR is an aerospace manufacturer developing regional aircraft and next-generation aviation technologies.

What you will do

• Become proficient with the in-house Python-based aircraft sizing tool.
• Develop conventional and hybrid-electric propulsion system models for different architectures, including series and parallel configurations.
• Develop low-fidelity aerodynamic models for aircraft sizing and performance assessment.
• Integrate weight estimation, center-of-gravity calculations, and loading diagrams into the tool.
• Evaluate next-generation ATR aircraft configurations and model disruptive aircraft platforms.

Requirements

• Master-level education (BAC+5) in engineering, aerospace, or an equivalent field.
• Fluent Python skills.
• Knowledge of hybrid propulsion and overall aircraft design.
• Analytical, rigorous, curious, autonomous, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, and synthesis skills.
• Fluent English and French required.
