Senior Cloud Networking Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Maintain and expand global cloud network infrastructure across new regions and markets while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Design, implement, and operate highly available production networks across LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud environments.
• Manage international leased lines, domestic internet connectivity, and complex network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud services.
• Lead complex network incidents through resolution, act as a first responder and escalation point, and produce after-action reports.
• Partner with InfoSec, DevOps, Database, Corporate IT, Facilities, and other teams to deliver network solutions and support business initiatives.
• Improve documentation and operational reliability, evaluate networking technologies, participate in on-call rotations and upgrades, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Networking foundation at approximately CCNA or JNCIA level.
• Experience with mixed vendor environments such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent.
• At least three years of production experience designing and operating AWS networking, plus basic GCP networking knowledge.
• Strong understanding of BGP, route filtering, command-line troubleshooting, network hardware, documentation, and change-control processes.
• Ability to assess the impact of changes and incidents, manage priorities, collaborate across teams, and work with AI-assisted workflows.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and scheduled network upgrades.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux, Python or Bash scripting, event-driven automation, Terraform, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure, Aliyun, elastic connectivity providers, data-centre providers, or IPsec VPN troubleshooting.
• Five or more years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with fintech, finance, high-availability networks, compliance restrictions, or information-security policies.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and experience explaining network concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
