Lead NetOps Engineer

Location: Remote - Bulgaria

What you will do

• Design and lead complex network solutions across data centers, remote sites, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Build secure connectivity using AWS, GCP, firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, and BGP technologies.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation for multi-vendor platforms including FortiGate, Aruba, and Juniper.
• Triage and resolve complex production incidents while maintaining infrastructure health, performance, and security.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and influence technical roadmaps and engineering direction.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide senior-level escalation support for critical outages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of network administration experience and at least 3 years of cloud networking experience across AWS, GCP, and hybrid data center connectivity.
• Experience architecting, building, and scaling complex network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba switching, FortiGate firewalls, BGP, routing, switching, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, Git-based workflows, Python, Bash, and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and technical leadership skills; familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools including Claude, Codex, and Gemini.
