🌱 Responsibilities:
1️⃣ Own the overall architecture and technology choices for the systems under your remit, with final accountability for their reliability, performance, and maintainability.
2️⃣ Lead design and review of critical modules, and drive high-complexity or high-risk initiatives with well-controlled, executable plans.
3️⃣ Define the roadmap for system quality — including technical debt reduction, reusable middleware and libraries, and integration testing infrastructure.
4️⃣ Set goals, run performance reviews, and lead hiring and development across the engineering teams in your department.
5️⃣ Understand needs across business, product, operations, and risk, and allocate engineering resources accordingly.
6️⃣ Establish engineering processes and standards built for the AI era, and lead the team in applying AI pragmatically to raise delivery quality and efficiency.

🌵 Requirements:
1️⃣ 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
2️⃣ Expert in Golang or Rust, with hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale applications. Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and SQL.
3️⃣ Deep understanding of MySQL transaction isolation levels and their common patterns in real-world application development.
4️⃣ Familiarity with standard cloud services, AWS in particular — EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, etc.
5️⃣ Extensive experience designing, operating, and evolving distributed systems, with a deep understanding of their complexity across transactional semantics, data consistency, testability, and observability — and proven methods for managing it.
6️⃣ Professional working proficiency in Mandarin for technical discussion and management communication, as the team collaborates primarily in Mandarin; proficient in written English.
7️⃣ Eligible to work in Singapore, or eligible for an Employment Pass.
💡 Nice to Have
1️⃣ Experience building financial services such as asset management, trading, or payments, with familiarity in clearing and settlement, risk management, and double-entry bookkeeping.
2️⃣ Familiarity with derivatives, structured products, or DeFi products.
3️⃣ Experience managing cross-regional or remote teams.
