Principal Accountant

What you will do

• Manage bookkeeping, travel and expense accounting, period-end closing, statutory audits, and annual filings for assigned entities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, treasury reports, and reports for corporate finance and local authorities.
• Drive accounting process standardization and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee transfer pricing, VAT, corporate income tax, other local taxes, and tax authority inquiries.
• Partner with business teams, explain finance matters, and provide training when needed.
• Contribute technical accounting expertise to regional and global finance projects, system rollouts, and policy updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least seven years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, period-end close, and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and China Accounting Standards, plus working knowledge of China tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP and Concur is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required.
