SecOps Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end investigations and responses to complex security incidents, serving as the L3 escalation point for SOC analysts and the MSSP.
• Operate and improve SIEM, EDR, email security, case management, and vulnerability management tooling.
• Build, test, tune, measure, and retire detection rules, queries, and correlation logic.
• Manage log sources and telemetry pipelines across cloud, identity, endpoint, network, and SaaS environments.
• Prioritise vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, validate fixes, and improve vulnerability workflows.
• Build integrations, scripts, and event-driven automations while partnering with Security, Engineering, IT, Cloud, Platform, Legal, and Compliance teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SOC, incident response, detection engineering, or security engineering.
• Experience leading complex security incidents and making risk-based decisions under pressure.
• Strong hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, detection development, log onboarding, telemetry pipelines, and vulnerability remediation.
• Understanding of attack techniques, cloud, endpoint, identity, and network security.
• Hands-on scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, and integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, testing, peer review, deployment practices, Jira, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Fintech or regulated-industry experience.
• AWS or cloud-native security experience.
• Experience with Exabeam, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Okta, SOAR, threat hunting, purple teaming, or detection-as-code.
• CI/CD, IaC, DevSecOps, REST APIs, OAuth, secrets management, or security certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, or CISSP.
