New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer (AI Hardware)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; flexible hybrid workplace model

Salary: $134,000–$189,000 USD per year base salary, plus equity and other rewards.

What you will do

• Support the development, assembly, testing, bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced computing systems and prototypes.
• Evaluate boards, components, and subassemblies for manufacturability and identify production issues early.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, control plans, and other engineering documentation.
• Assist with assembly and integration of PCBA, chassis, and rack-level electromechanical systems.
• Lead pilot builds in-house and at external contract manufacturing sites, tracking progress and triaging build issues.
• Execute test procedures, troubleshoot hardware faults, identify root causes, and deploy corrective measures with engineering teams and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Experience with DFM/DFA principles and tools, CAD software, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and troubleshoot short circuits, signal integrity issues, and power-related faults.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
