MBSE Systems Tools Developer – Advanced Vehicle Development (Automotive)

Location: Warren, Michigan, United States; hybrid role requiring on-site attendance at least three times per week. Travel required up to 25%. Relocation benefits are available for qualifying candidates.

What you will do

• Coordinate the Advanced Vehicle Development MBSE toolchain, including environments, access, issues, roadmap, budgets, and user support.
• Lead pilots of Cameo and IBM Rhapsody Systems Engineering and turn results into deployable capabilities.
• Develop, maintain, test, and troubleshoot integrations with IBM DOORS Next Generation, IBM Engineering Test Management, Teamcenter, ARID, and GM FIT.
• Define integration requirements covering data ownership, traceability, configuration control, automation, data quality, error handling, and supportability.
• Create training, demonstrations, quick-reference guides, and onboarding materials while serving as the technical contact for MBSE tools.
• Coordinate integration meetings, technical requirements, interface specifications, test cases, implementation plans, upgrades, defect resolution, and automation priorities with engineering, IT, vendors, and enterprise tool owners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, engineering tools development, software development, systems integration, or engineering data management.
• Experience developing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or supporting enterprise tool and data-system integrations.
• Experience with APIs, data exchange, automation, scripting, databases, or similar integration methods.
• Ability to coordinate technical work across engineering, IT, enterprise tool owners, vendors, and partner organizations without direct authority.
• GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship; candidates must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Regular legal operation of a motor vehicle is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MBSE, systems engineering, SysML, SysML 2.0, architecture modeling, or digital-thread development.
• Experience with Cameo, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, IBM DOORS Next Generation, IBM ETM, Teamcenter, ARID, or GM FIT.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, OSLC, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience leading technical pilots, proofs of concept, user acceptance testing, or integration working groups.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, configuration management, automated testing, or CI/CD.
