Application Engineer (Food Processing)

Location: Hybrid role based in Massanassa, Valencia, Spain. Travel of up to 30% within the EMEA region is required.

Salary: from EUR 34,500 per year.

What you will do

• Support consultative sales as a technical and application expert.
• Analyze customer processes and production requirements to develop tailored processing solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, system designs, performance analyses, quotations, and supporting documentation.
• Design and evaluate processing systems, layouts, and integrated solutions, including third-party equipment.
• Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, testing, validation, and performance optimization activities.
• Provide technical guidance, presentations, training, troubleshooting, and support to Sales and Service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Automation, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in agri-tech, food processing, automation, material handling, or equipment-related industries.
• Spanish and English proficiency required.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles, solution development, sales, service, or technical support.
• Knowledge of CAD and design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Valid work permit or visa status where required, and a valid unrestricted driving license.

Nice to have

• Experience with system design, process evaluation, equipment integration, and operational data analysis.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, specifications, and customer presentations.
