Intern - AI & Infrastructure Engineer - Spring 2027 (AI)

Location: On-site in Devens, Massachusetts, United States. Occasional nights, weekends, on-call work, or travel may be required. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and housing.

Salary: $25–$38 per hour. BS interns: $25–$32 per hour; MS/PhD interns: $35–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide first-line support for employees using AI tools and help them build, version, and troubleshoot applications.
• Manage AI tooling onboarding, including license requests, GitHub access, AI tool access, and marketplace plugin publishing.
• Develop and maintain internal AI applications, implement scoped features, and write automated tests.
• Convert recurring user questions into training materials and internal documentation.
• Document AI usage across business teams, identify new use cases, and coach employees toward independent AI development.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Python backend development, Git/GitHub workflows, Docker, and Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with AI coding tools, LLM APIs, tool use, structured outputs, prompt and context management, and custom agents.
• Knowledge of MCP servers, agent frameworks, observability or evaluation tooling, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, SSO, and role-based access.
• Strong communication skills and awareness of security and internal data handling.
