Chief Operating Officer, EU (Digital Assets)

hirify.global is a global cryptocurrency exchange and digital financial platform building regulated digital asset services for customers across the European Economic Area.

What you will do

• Define and execute the European operational strategy, budgets, KPIs, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Lead AML/AFC operations covering KYC/KYB, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and financial crime investigations.
• Oversee European customer services, payment operations, fiat processing, reconciliation, settlement, and regulated EMI payment services.
• Manage MiFID-related operations, trading desk activities, order management, trade execution, reconciliation, settlement, and operational controls.
• Manage strategic relationships with banks, payment providers, custodians, liquidity providers, and outsourced service partners.
• Build European operations teams and establish governance, internal controls, risk management, business continuity, incident management, and regulatory remediation frameworks.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, fintech, digital assets, brokerage, or capital markets, including executive leadership experience.
• Experience managing complex, multi-functional operations in regulated financial services environments.
• Strong knowledge of crypto trading, digital assets, payment services, AML/AFC, MiCA, MiFID II, DORA, and related European regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading customer operations, payments, trading operations, outsourcing arrangements, banking relationships, and strategic external partners.
• Proven ability to scale operations, improve efficiency, manage budgets and KPIs, and implement governance and risk management frameworks across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Fluent English required; a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, banking, management, or a related field is preferred.
