What you will do
- Define the strategy, operating model, organisation, objectives, and talent agenda for SFS Operations.
- Lead approximately 15 employees across Banking Operations, KYC Operations, and Operations AML.
- Oversee banking and payment operations, reconciliation, safeguarding, incidents, fraud investigations, and partner coordination.
- Lead KYB/KYC, customer risk management, screening, transaction monitoring, escalations, and coordination with Compliance and the MLRO.
- Coordinate operational standards, controls, incident management, and risk visibility across Europe, the UK, and the US.
- Automate and scale the operating model with PDE, Product, and Engineering while strengthening resilience, governance, audits, and outsourcing oversight.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing Operations, Middle Office, or Back Office teams.
- Experience leading multiple operational activities or teams, ideally through managers or team leads.
- Strong people management, organisational, problem-solving, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
- Track record of improving processes, quality, controls, and operational performance.
- Experience managing change and transformation in a regulated, risk-sensitive, or operationally complex environment.
- Ability to work with Product, Engineering, senior leadership, governance bodies, auditors, and external partners.
Nice to have
- Experience in payments, banking operations, KYC, AML, fraud, reconciliation, or card operations.
- Experience as a Head of Operations, Operations Director, Head of Middle Office or Back Office, or COO.
