Program Manager, Product Development (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead New Product Introduction programs from concept and requirements definition through design, qualification, production release, and lifecycle transition.
• Direct cross-functional Integrated Product Teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, sales, and business development.
• Manage integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, risks, customer deliverables, and technical issues.
• Coordinate design reviews, qualification planning, manufacturing readiness, prototype builds, pilot production, and transition to sustained manufacturing.
• Lead phase-gate reviews and qualification activities covering environmental, electrical, mechanical, reliability, and customer acceptance requirements.
• Report program performance to senior management and support proposals, estimates, business cases, cost reduction, yield improvement, and production optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in program management, project leadership, product development, engineering, aerospace, defense, electronics, semiconductor, microelectronics, or high-reliability manufacturing.
• Experience leading NPI and technically complex product development programs from concept through production release.
• Experience with qualification testing, manufacturing readiness, process qualification, production transfer, supply chain integration, risk management, corrective actions, budgets, schedules, and customer deliverables.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, program management tools, Earned Value Management, cost tracking, variance analysis, AS9100, ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and military or aerospace requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, organizational, and customer relationship management skills; PMP certification is preferred.
