Recreation Manager

What you will do

• Develop and promote recreation programs serving diverse youth participants.
• Supervise recreation staff and provide training on activity and facility safety.
• Plan and coordinate sports, cultural, creative, and leisure-learning activities at the center.
• Build partnerships with community recreation providers and create regular event schedules.
• Maintain participation records, conduct student surveys, and manage recreation supplies, uniforms, equipment, and departmental expenditures.
• Support staffing decisions, performance appraisals, promotions, and development of project-based student leadership opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field, or four to six years of related experience and/or training.
• One to two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with a diverse population of youth.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment and an acceptable driving record.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment for staff and students.

Nice to have

• Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.
