Forecasting Specialist - Walmart (Retail)

Location: Rogers, Arkansas, United States. Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: $94,000–$118,000 annual.

What you will do

• Lead weekly item-level POS forecasting and align demand plans with internal stakeholders and Walmart retail partners.
• Evaluate forecasting models using consumption forecasts, product history, inventory levels, promotions, distribution, and pricing.
• Develop weekly shipping plans and product flow patterns by item and channel.
• Present demand insights in consensus meetings and recommend seasonal actions to sales, S&OP, buyers, and replenishment managers.
• Improve store in-stock performance by managing order creation, daily orders, purchase orders, and fill rates.
• Coordinate direct-import execution from Asia with the customer service team in Hong Kong.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales analysis or merchandise buying and planning.
• Direct forecasting experience in highly seasonal environments with long lead times.
• Extensive experience analyzing large datasets, combining data sources, and preparing actionable reports.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross-functional forecasting processes, such as JDA, SAP, Demantra, or Anaplan.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, communication, business judgment, and process-improvement abilities.
• Ability to work in the Rogers, Arkansas office Monday–Thursday.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer packaged goods or retail.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, BigQuery, or other database programs.
• Experience with statistical forecasting techniques, systems applications, and model building.
