Legal Counsel - Publishing & Partnerships (Gaming)

Location: Office-based in Paris, France; office located in Saint-Mandé

Global gaming company creating and publishing original interactive entertainment across console, PC, mobile, VR, and other platforms.

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate distribution, commercial, co-marketing, and partnership agreements with console manufacturers, digital and technology platforms, streaming and cloud providers, and other industry partners.
• Support strategic negotiations with Publishing and Sales teams for game distribution and commercial partnerships.
• Advise operational teams worldwide on agreement implementation, interpretation, and day-to-day digital and physical distribution matters.
• Provide practical advice on competition law, market practices, and operational legal issues in an international environment.
• Monitor legal, technological, and market developments in the video game industry and adapt contracts and distribution models accordingly.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in commercial transactions, business law, and/or intellectual property gained in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally with major digital or technology companies.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify key legal and business issues, manage complex matters autonomously, and work proactively.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and negotiations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• French language skills.
• Experience with major digital platforms or technology companies.
