Senior AI DevOps Engineer

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance generally required Monday through Thursday and remote work generally available on Fridays.

Estimated annual base salary for California: $141,300–$305,700.

What you will do

• Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android applications.
• Architect fail-fast pipeline stages and intelligent test routing across emulators and physical devices.
• Build flaky-test detection, failure classification, quarantine, and pipeline analytics systems.
• Automate code signing, versioning, TestFlight and Play Console uploads, and debug-symbol management.
• Develop device reservation, orchestration, compatibility, and self-healing recovery systems.
• Use AI to identify failure patterns, predict infrastructure issues, and optimize pipeline performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of operating CI/CD infrastructure at scale, preferably with GitLab CI.
• Deep knowledge of Xcode, xcodebuild, Gradle, code signing, provisioning, and mobile CI challenges.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills for internal tooling, health monitoring, and analytics.
• Advanced proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and AI-first infrastructure problem solving.
• Experience designing autonomous, self-healing systems and using data to measure pipeline reliability, waste, device utilization, and duration.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of WiFi and BLE protocols.
• Experience with XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium and high-volume agentic or bot-authored merge requests.
