Assistant Vice President, Investment Operations - Private (Private Credit)

Location: Los Angeles, United States

Base salary: $155,000–$185,000 annually for AVP; VP range is $175,000–$225,000 annually. Discretionary bonus incentives are also available.

What you will do

• Coordinate private deal closings, fundings, asset setup, investment monitoring, and reporting.
• Track the private deal pipeline and maintain accurate operational data and documentation.
• Analyze credit agreements, amendments, fee letters, and other legal documents to identify critical deal terms.
• Manage relationships with banks, custodians, facilities, rating agencies, co-investors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with investment, legal, tax, accounting, compliance, and back-office teams throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Develop operational policies, controls, process improvements, automation, and longer-term systemic solutions.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of relevant operations experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
• 3+ years of private credit investment operations and middle-office experience, including reviewing private credit documents.
• Strong knowledge of private credit fund concepts, corporate direct lending, finance, process documentation, and cross-functional operations.
• Prior management or team-lead experience guiding, developing, or overseeing junior team members.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the position; a master’s degree is a plus.
